Salary - £28,800.00 (+ £750.00 Car Allowance) per annum - depending on skills and experience
Contract type - Fixed Term to 30/06/2025 subject to extension

About the role
Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS - part of GreenSquareAccord), GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16+) living in Gloucestershire.
In addition to a range of support services, GDASS also operate a helpline.
We are currently recruiting for a GMAT Support Worker to join Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) on a fixed term full time basis.
The post is co-located with the multi-disciplinary team based at Children`s Social Care (GMAT) including staff from drug and alcohol, housing support, mental health, adult education and youth support services. The post holder will be expected to complete domestic abuse risk assessments and support people wo are, or who have been experiencing domestic abuse.
The role will work closely with social workers and family support workers in the Social Care Gloucester Multi Agency Team (GMAT) to provide a seamless multi agency service to vulnerable children and their families by providing domestic abuse safety planning and support to the families of vulnerable children..
The post holder will offer training around domestic abuse issues and share good practice with Social Care staff based at GMAT.

About you
It is essential that you are qualified and have the equivalent level of skills and experience to NVQ level 3. A Social Work or Domestic Abuse Qualification or similar would also be beneficial for this role.
You will have previous demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people and direct experience of domestic abuse risk assessment when working with people needing support.
Previous experience of working with vulnerable children and of working with Social Services is also desirable.
A knowledge of housing law and relevant legislation and demonstrable ability and experience of liaising and working with a wide range of agencies.
You will be required to have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills along with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
