About the role
1. Create test strategies, test plans, perform tests and statistical data analysis related to new products before launch and serial products on request of different departments and projects.
2. Work on test concepts from planning to commissioning of new test equipment, rigs and jigs and as well software/firmware related for various test purposes including simulation and test automatization for internal and external build following the relevant processes and demands.
3. Use of statistical analysis to prove performance.
4. Use of Six Sigma and statistical tools for various applications in test engineering.
5. Direct test technicians to perform tests and document the test results in alignment with the standard procedures, H&S and test lab rules.
6. Plan, perform and/or direct technicians to build and validate new test equipment, with a focus on automation via LabVIEW control.
7. Support with product and test knowledge on request of Draeger departments and in interdisciplinary project teams.
8. Build up personal network with international test houses.
9. Correlation work on test procedures and set ups with international test laboratories.
10. Contributing to the global Draeger Test Engineer Network activities.
11. Update test equipment to align with standards and test requirements.
12. Maintenance of department standards and procedures: 6S, test procedures, SOPs, and H&S requirements.
13. Test equipment and process improvements.
14. Other departments demands.
15. Finalise projects, tasks, targets agreed in alignment with the yearly department goals.

Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
23. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or Physics
Related Experience
24. Experience in testing, data analysis and documentation.
25. Experience in planning and building test equipment including documentation hardware and software related, verification and validation (Gage R&R).
26. Experience within a Test Lab, R&D, and quality management background.
27. Experience of dealing with high pressure pneumatic equipment and testing and electronics.
Skills, Special Competencies
28. LabVIEW projects experience.
29. TestStand experience.
30. Programming knowledge (python, C#)
31. Six Sigma experience.
32. Minitab experience.
33. Use of IBM DOORs and RQM.
