Summary We’re looking for a Rural Surveyor to join us in Cornwall, to support the management of a diverse portfolio of our let estate located predominantly in West Penwith whilst also supporting the management of additional let estate portfolios throughout Cornwall. We’re looking for someone who can deliver the ambition for our places, work closely with our partners and build trust. In addition, you’ll work with our farm tenants, to look after our farms, whilst delivering our charitable purpose to restore nature and deliver our climate change ambitions. As a key link with our tenants and other collaborators, you will manage your workload in a professional manner, ensuring proactive communication and industry knowledge are always present. This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave, due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months. What it's like to work here At the National Trust, we love our places. As this role covers Cornwall your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home, our Regional Office is Lanhydrock. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week. This role looks after some rural properties in Cornwall, some with very limited access via public transport. You'll be required to travel to different locations across the portfolio, sometimes at short notice, please keep this in mind when applying. What you'll be doing As a Rural Surveyor, you’ll be working with a wide range of conservation and heritage professionals along with our tenants and other stakeholders to deliver a modern and progressive land management approach that we need to achieve our strategic ambitions. You’ll provide our property teams with advice, guidance and support on all land management matters, playing an integral part in the estate management team.
