Swift Temps Ltd are working with a Transport Company in Wetherby who are looking to recruit for a Transport Debrief Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Transport team by managing driver debriefing procedures, recording transport data, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Monday to Friday
Hours: 10:00am - 18:00pm
Temp role to cover the Christmas Peak with a view to be extended until January 2025.
Location: Wetherby, Leeds
Pay rate: £12.14 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
1. Driver Debriefing:
Conduct driver debriefs to review delivery details, noting any delays, incidents, or vehicle issues.
Collect and verify paperwork from drivers, including delivery notes, tachograph records, and timesheets.
Address and record driver concerns or feedback and escalate issues as necessary.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure all transport documentation is complete, accurate, and filed according to company procedures.
Input and update data in the transport management system (TMS) accurately and promptly.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on transport operations for the management team.
3. Compliance and Safety:
Monitor adherence to transport regulations, including driver hours and vehicle safety standards.
Coordinate with the compliance team to ensure vehicle maintenance records are current and documented.
Support health and safety audits by maintaining relevant documentation and assisting in compliance checks.
4. Operational Support:
Communicate with drivers and transport planners to resolve day-to-day operational issues.
Assist in coordinating schedules, route changes, and delivery adjustments as needed.
Support the Transport team in planning and scheduling by providing up-to-date transport information.
5. Customer Service:
Address any delivery-related inquiries or issues raised by customers or the internal team.
Work with the Customer Service team to relay accurate delivery information and resolve delivery discrepancies.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience in logistics or administration is ideal.
2. Previous experience in transport administration, logistics, or a related field preferred.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with drivers, team members, and customers.
5. Ability to accurately record and verify data, high level of accuracy in data entry.
6. Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
7. Ability to address and resolve transport issues, escalating when necessary.
