Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team at our Milton Keynes and Haverhill site.
Due to travel commitments you will need a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
There is no hybrid working available with this role.
As HR Advisor you will be responsible for delivering a seamless and efficient operational service to all areas of the business, through the provision of effective first line advice and guidance to the people managers.
As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the site, and will report directly to the HR Business Partner.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary, package and the opportunity to work with a forward thinking market leader.
Job responsibilities of HR Advisor include:
1. Provide an efficient support service for HR, ensuring a fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
2. Provides first line advice, guidance and coaching to line managers for all matters relating to the full employee lifecycle, escalating complex or high-risk cases to HRBP
3. Co-ordinate, attend and provide support for ER meetings as required.
4. Responsibility for the completion of people related changes, including changes to Terms and Conditions and Approval to Recruit.
5. Track and provide data as requested, using data to suggest and implement initiatives
6. Championing and supporting group-wide processes, such as working with Central Functions in job evaluations and grading
7. Maintenance of HR System holding employee information in timely and accurate manner
8. Partner with Learning and Development and line managers to support in the identification and provision of training and development needs
9. Consistently review and develop of people related processes, as appropriate, supporting the continual improvement of the function.
10. Liaising with occupational health for long term sickness and management referral cases, conducting home visits where necessary.
11. Provides support and completion of wider HR projects as directed from HRBP/ Head of HR
12. Administration of HR Systems and processes as required
13. Completes HR Information Reports on a weekly and monthly basis, to provide to HRBP/ Head of HR
14. Provide support to HRBP in day to day management of all ER related cases, and ensuring the timely conclusion of these as appropriate
15. Provide support with site initiatives such as engagement initiatives, survey responses etc.
16. Provide support on the execution of HR projects including restructuring, new builds, closure, TUPE.
Qualifications
To apply for the role of HR Advisor you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
17. HR legislative understanding and knowledge
18. Proven experience in advising on HR associated matters
19. Experience of data inputting and reporting, with proactive use of data to inform business decisions
20. High attention to detail and accuracy
21. Highly organised with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
22. Adaptable/flexible
23. Positive and credible with the ability to build trust, respect and openness
24. Commercial and proactive mind-set
25. High level IT skills using MS Office suite
26. Excellent communication skills
27. CIPD qualification or equivalent – preferred but not essential
