About the role
We’ve an amazing new opportunity to become our new Centre of Excellence (CoE) Coordinator, reporting into the Centre of Excellence (CoE) Manager within our Asset Programme Management Office (PMO). We see this role is essential to realising our National Leader ambitions and we’re looking for a super organised, outgoing and motivated professional with proven experience in a fast-paced Programme Office (PMO) environment or similar environment.
You’ll be responsible for supporting the development of a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) function within the Northumbrian Water PMO, developing, embedding, and improving on business processes, tools, and systems. You’ll be responsible for supporting the Centre of Excellence Manager in ensuring our projects and programmes adopt this best practice to maximise benefits delivered from Northumbrian Water’s delivery.
We’re looking for you to take accountability for supporting the development, maintenance, and communication of business processes, project controls, resource planning, and best practice procedures. You’ll also reinforce the role, responsibilities, and purpose of the CoE across the PMO and broader Northumbrian Water operations, acting as a representative for the CoE in meetings and cross-function discussions.

About you
Are you ready to leverage your expertise in project delivery and stakeholder management to drive success in a dynamic team environment?
In this role, you'll bring your proven track record of adept stakeholder management and your communication skills will be crucial as you influence the project and program community to adopt best practices and foster relationships across diverse disciplines and hierarchies. As you will be supporting the delivery of complex projects or programs, a comprehensive understanding of project controls, governance, and reporting would be preferrable but not essential.
Furthermore, your experience in maintaining and communicating business processes, guidance, and standards will be invaluable in ensuring alignment and understanding throughout the organisation.
We're seeking someone who has contributed to high-performing teams, who has the ability to work independently teamed with creative thinking and proactivity to drive items of work forward.
You’ll also have a strong grasp of routine performance reporting and project management tools, data analysis, and crafting presentations.
If you are an outgoing team player with strong communications skills and you have a knack for effective document management and record-keeping, including expertise in information and file management structures, you're the ideal candidate we're looking for.

About Asset Management & PMO
The Assets Directorate understand the health of our assets, invest wisely and maintain them to continue to provide safe, reliable and resilient services to our customers today and in the future.
We have launched an ambitious transformation programme to drive a real step change in how we deliver our capital projects. This requires the development of a high-performing PMO to provide a central controls function delivering impactful performance reporting, estimating, schedule and risk management, and governance. The overarching objective of the transformation programme is to transition from a hybrid PMO consisting of NWL staff and contractor support, to an entirely inhouse model.
