An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-organised and highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Major Gifts team.
Reporting to the Head of Development (Arts & Divinity), the role-holder will be the first point of contact for major giving fundraising enquiries to the Development Office and should therefore demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
As well as providing administrative support to six fundraisers, the role-holder will also work closely with the Director of Development, PA to the Director of Development and members of staff across the broader Development team and other key offices in the University.
Strong administrative and IT skills are vital, along with careful attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential material. Excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills are key requirements of the post along with a flexible approach and enthusiasm for working in a collegiate team environment. Familiarity with databases would be desirable.
The role-holder will be part of a team tasked with delivering the University’s newly launched ‘Making Waves’ campaign, which seeks to raise £300m in philanthropic funding to support significant capital projects, greater investment in scholarships, world-leading research and the University’s journey to net zero by 2035.
Above all, the role-holder must be passionate about the role that philanthropy plays in supporting higher education for the benefit of society as a whole.
This post is office based in St Andrews.
