Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist who is seeking career progression and a varied clinical role in our highly valued Older People's Psychological Services team in Mid Essex. Our recent team assessment demonstrated that we are an effective team with a compassionate, safe and supportive team culture. We ensure protected time and space for reflection and team development. Newly qualified clinical/counselling psychologists or those who will be qualifying and achieving HCPC status soon are invited to apply under a preceptorship arrangement.

Main Duties of the Job
This post will be based with our Maldon multi-disciplinary team, consisting of a memory assessment service and a community mental health team, where psychology is well-established and highly valued. This post offers you diversity in clinical practice, supporting and enabling your professional development. You will provide direct psychological assessment and interventions for older people with complex mental health difficulties and adults with dementia (and their families and wider systems) across inpatient and community settings. You will provide group interventions, neuropsychological assessment (dependent on skill/experience) and work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary teams, provide training, consultation and reflective practice groups. You will provide supervision for assistant and trainee psychologists (dependent on experience).
You will receive regular clinical supervision from a Principal Clinical Psychologist and peer support from colleagues across Trust Older People's Psychological Services. Clinical research, teaching and specialised interests are actively encouraged and you will have opportunities to contribute to service improvement and develop your clinical leadership skills.
