Job Summary: As a Driver Trainee Installer, you will be supported through our 12-month trainee programme to become a fully qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer with a C1 driving licence.
Once you're fully trained, you'll have the unique opportunity of bringing our distinctive John Lewis service right to our customers' door and installing the products they love into their homes (such as furniture, large electrical appliances, sound systems and TV sets) as part of a 2-person delivery crew., Once qualified, your day will see you start at the delivery hub you are based before heading out on route. You'll:
- Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service as your number one priority.
- Help load up your lorry with the days deliveries working alongside the warehouse team.
- Demonstrate great respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handle unexpected situations to find the best possible solution for your customers.
- Installing products efficiently and quickly for our customers and demonstrating how they work once installed.
- Keeping up to date with new products and technologies to help you perform your role at your best.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
- Have great verbal communication skills both over the phone and face to face.
- Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (you will spend a lot of time delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses).
- Have a passion for technology and installation.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- Previous experience of installation and customary delivery driving.
Pay: £12.95 - £13.92 Hourly

Hours of Work: Part-time (30.75 hours): 06:00-17:00, Thursday, Friday & Saturday & Full-Time (41 hours): 06:00-17:00, Monday - Saturday, 4 days per week.
