Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Finance Assistant you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Firms Finance function, taking joint ownership of the Firms Accounts Payable function, transactional processing, reconciliations and assisting in the production of concise, well presented management financial reports across the Group. The role will also involve assisting in the implementation of new systems and robust processes. Duties/Responsibilities Reporting, Management Accounts, Financial Statements & Consolidation: Contribute to the accurate and timely preparation of the Groups entity and consolidated management accounts and financial statements, in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. External Audits: Contribute to the Groups external audit requirements, including assisting with the preparation of audit schedules, provision of necessary documentation and responses to audit queries. Accounts Payable: Manage the Purchase order process and ensure timely processing of supplier invoicing and payments. General Ledger Management: Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of the Groups entire general ledger, including daily reconciliations, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and month end close procedures. Transaction Processing: Contribute to the Groups accounting and processing of all financial transactions. Tax Compliance & Planning: Contribute to the Groups timely and accurate tax filings (corporation tax & VAT). Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls: Contribute to the Groups timely and accurate regulatory filings and adherence to regulatory requirements. Internal Controls: Contribute to the design and implementation of policies, procedures, and strong internal controls for the Group to ensure the reliability of financial reporting, safeguard company assets, and prevent fraud. Risk Management & Compliance: Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to monitor and report on the Groups financial risks and ensure policy adherence. Technology & Process Automation: Contribute to the usage and evolution of the Groups financial systems, ensuring synchronisation and accuracy of transactions, and assisting with the implementation of automation to improve operational efficiency.
