My clients workforce is at the heart of their organisation and they have an exciting opportunity to join their existing team of committed professionals as an Accounts Assistant with a permanent vacancy on a part-time basis, at their premises in Great Yarmouth.
You will be a key member of a small office team working in a friendly family-owned business.
You will need to be hardworking with meticulous attention to detail and a self-starter with excellent accountancy experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will prepare payroll data weekly and monthly for external accountants and add journal entries on accounting software
You will process supplier invoices
You will manage invoicing for all customers, including statement production and credit control
You will look after petty cash management
You will carry out timesheet data entry
You will post bank transactions and bank reconciliations
You will carry out month-end adjustments including prepayment and accruals
You will carry out the month-end preparation of management accounts
You will carry out general admin as well as any ad-hoc tasks as they arise
Experience & Skills
Minimum 3 years’ experience
Excellent attention to detail
Experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Sage 50
The ability to work to tight deadlines
The ability to use your own initiative and deal with issues as and when they arise
You will demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude at all times
You will be motivated with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
