Contract Type: Named Teaching Assistant for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). If the named children were to leave the school, the contract would alter or possibly terminate according to need. (Initial contract 1 year)
Description:
Middlethorpe Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to support 2 children with a range of specific needs. Starting date as soon as possible.
We are looking for:
* A driven and effective team player with a commitment to creating a climate where all children feel safe and thrive.
* Experience in effectively supporting children with Special Educational Needs in the areas of communication and interaction, cognition and learning, and social and emotional development.
* Experience working with children with ASD.
* Experience in a school setting and an understanding of supporting children with specific learning needs.
* An intuitive and adaptable individual who can evolve their practice to ensure children remain engaged.
* Relevant qualifications or experience, and training in other relevant strategies for the role.
* A committed and enthusiastic individual with good timekeeping and a track record of excellent workplace attendance.
* A sense of humour.
