Job Purpose : To offer inspirational strategic and operational leadership in the College To lead the College strategies in relation to Q-XTRA To lead the College strategies in relation to Marketing To lead on all aspects of the Skills Agenda To be responsible for the policy and procedures for running trips, authorising trips and training of staff and to fulfill the role of Educational Visits Coordinator Main responsibilities: Marketing Line manage the Marketing Manager Lead on all matters related to reputation, schools liaison, promotional materials, and central communications to internal and external stakeholders To provide leadership for the College on managing and promoting its reputation To provide leadership which delivers excellent relationships with partner schools and any other schools that send students to the College To plan targets and strategies, monitor, report and deliver the projected number of students each year Strategic and Operational Responsibility: Q-XTRA In liaison with Curriculum, design and implement the Q-XTRA programme to ensure students have a quality experience beyond the curriculum Working in collaboration with MIS, ensure an effective and easily accessible process and procedure for all stakeholders Developing contacts with the Community Partnership to provide opportunities for volunteering for students Ensuring purposeful and safe student led clubs and societies Task Manage EPQ Coordinator(s) Task Manage Interdisciplinary Coordinator Task Manage Sustainability Coordinator Task Manage the ED&I Coordinators Strategic and Operational Responsibility: Trips Fulfill the role of the College’s Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC) Ensure training for all staff undertaking trips including clear guidance on residential trips, one day trips and the completion of risk assessments In liaison with curriculum and pastoral teams, design and implement the Trips offer to ensure students have a quality experience beyond the curriculum Working in collaboration with MIS, ensure an effective and easily accessible process and procedure for all stakeholders. This will include written policies and guidance for all Trip organisers and the final authorisation. The Skills Agenda In liaison with curriculum and pastoral, ensure that the College is meeting, in full the Skills Agenda Criteria Author the Accountability Statement to be approved by Corporation Liaise with stakeholders in the local community to ensure collaborative planning to develop the skills of all of our students To be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, including: To provide a major contribution to strategic planning and leadership in the College To provide leadership which results in outstanding student achievements and value added To provide day-to-day management of College staff and students To be accountable for the quality and outcomes of your areas of responsibility liaise with parents and manage complaints To contribute at all times to the effective working of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) To attend and report directly to the full Corporation and its Committees To contribute to the SLT duty rota outside of term time To chair and make decisions at formal hearings for staff (disciplinary, grievance, capability) To lead and develop the culture amongst staff and students of having the highest expectations of their own performance and to address underachievement Other: Contribute to teaching/tutoring in the College (4.5 hours per week) Carry out any reasonable requests of the Principal
