We are now looking for a Head of Health, Safety and Assurance to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As a Head of Health, Safety and Assurance, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of our health and safety policy.
Ensuring that all health and safety processes and controls are in place and meet our high standards, you will look for opportunities for continual improvement whilst making sure we remain within the boundaries of regulation and legislation.
You’ll work collaboratively with service leaders and executives to promote a positive safety-first culture, ensuring that all regulatory and legal requirements are met.
Building and supporting a team of health and safety professionals, you will ensure they deliver first-class, seamless service and support colleagues, customers and contractors in line with our ‘one team, one purpose’ ethos.
Additionally, you will:
* Provide regular reporting and trend analysis, ensuring controls are in place
* Lead on corrective actions that need to be taken
* Oversee the development and delivery of the annual Corporate Health and Safety Priorities Plan
* Lead on the development of health and safety training and corporate initiatives
* Ensure that the Corporate Health and Safety Policy is up to date and business-appropriate
* Support the Executive Team in promoting an effective safety culture
About You
To be considered as a Head of Health, Safety and Assurance, you will need:
* Experience gained within a similar, senior health and safety role
* Experience managing a team of health and safety professionals
* The ability to collaborate and engage others in health and safety
* An in-depth understanding of health and safety management systems
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* Chartered membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) (CMIOSH)
* A visible and up-to-date Continual Professional Development (CPD) record
* Internal auditor certification
* APS CDM Management certification
