Job Duties:
The SEND Teaching Assistant will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the educational setting. Duties include assisting the teacher in implementing individual education plans, supporting students with their learning and personal care needs, and promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification
Education:
Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification
Experience:
Previous experience working with students with SEND is desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong understanding of supporting students with SEND
* Ability to assist with personal care needs
* Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training or exerpience in supporting students with specific needs such as Autism or SEMH
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a classroom setting under the guidance of the teaching staff. The environment may be challenging at times, requiring patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
