Job Summary: The Small Works Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for small-scale construction projects, particularly extensions, demolitions/rebuilds, and insurance damage repairs. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are quoted competitively and profitably. Key Responsibilities: Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed estimates for small works projects, including extensions, demolitions/rebuilds, and insurance damage repairs. Gather information from clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to provide accurate pricing. Develop detailed cost breakdowns, factoring in labor, materials, plant, and subcontractor costs. Submit clear and accurate estimates within set deadlines. Assess and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure best value. Monitor costs throughout the project, identifying potential savings and advising the project team. Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth handover of projects. Stay informed on industry trends and material costs. Qualifications & Skills: Estimator experience in small construction works, including extensions, demolitions/rebuilds, and insurance damage repairs. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and costs. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and stakeholders.
