Your new role We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Reactive Caretaker/Janitor to cover our Northampton Schools account, this role will be mobile across the schools on the account. - You will be provided with a company van and a fuel card for this role. The hours for this role will be flexible from 7am – 7pm - Monday - Friday. You will work 37.5 hours per week. The salary is £12.58 per hour Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Northampton Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 42 schools (five secondary and 37 primary). You will be responsible for Ensure smooth running of the school premises Carrying out day-to-day DIY/maintenance and minor repairs (i.e., furniture fixtures, wall repairs) To ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly Daily responsible to check that all doors and windows are locked when the building is not in use Checking the premises to guard against vandalism Arranging chairs and tables for meetings or assemblies and clearing away afterwards Litter picking and general clearing of external areas What makes this role unique: you will be facilitating the smooth running of the premises, providing support for a safe and efficient operation whilst ensuring all customer requirements are met.
