Are you an experienced and driven professional ready to lead a dedicated team in a residential home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)? We are looking for a passionate Registered Manager who has the skills and experience to make a real difference. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2 years of experience leading an Ofsted-registered home and 1 year of management experience.
You will have the responsibility to oversee the daily operations of a well-established 3-bed EBD residential home. This role offers you the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, directly impacting the lives of children in care while ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards. Manage day-to-day operations of the home while ensuring compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory standards. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, fostering a positive and respectful environment for both residents and staff. You will have the ability to shape the environment in which children are cared for, creating a lasting impact on their development.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident. This ensures every child receives the care they deserve, which supports their growth and well-being. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that your leadership is directly contributing to the positive outcomes in the lives of vulnerable children.
Supervise and support the care team, encouraging continuous professional development. You'll create a motivated and skilled team that is aligned with the home's vision and goals. This results in a stronger, more efficient team, and a supportive working environment where staff feel valued and empowered.
Ensure safe medication administration and adherence to health and safety regulations. You will maintain the highest standards of care and safety for both residents and staff. Your leadership will help ensure a well-managed, risk-free environment, protecting both children and staff from potential harm.
Regularly liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. Your collaborative approach will ensure holistic care for each resident. This fosters a sense of community and partnership, creating a well-rounded care network that supports both residents and their families.
Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and compassion. By fostering this culture, you'll create a positive, nurturing environment for everyone involved. This creates a work environment that attracts and retains top talent and ensures that the children receive the highest quality care possible.
Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential home setting (EBD experience preferred).At least 1 year of management experience in a residential home.Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and care standards. Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
