An entrepreneurial privately owned group based near Sturminster Newton are looking for a Part-Time Finance Manager / Bookkeeper to join their team due to business growth. They have an impressive number of projects in their pipeline. The role could suit someone with extensive experience who can commit to 10 hours per week, with some flexibility to do a few more hours in the week of month end.
Your new role
Your role is crucial for the company's financial well-being; in this position you'll oversee the company's day-to-day finances to maintain smooth operations using Xero accounting software. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Timely processing of supplier invoices and payment runs
2. Bank reconciliations
3. Monthly VAT returns
4. Payroll journals
5. Intercompany recharges
6. Processing sales invoices (c.25 per week)
7. Allocating payments
8. Raising credit notes/rebates as required
9. Managing a small credit control
Additionally, you may also be asked to perform various ad hoc tasks to support the team and work with the accountant to ensure that the management accounting can be completed.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have extensive bookkeeping experience, an eye for detail, and good communication skills. You will be methodical, dependable, insightful, and trustworthy, capable of both independent work and collaboration within a small team setting.
