A Quality Manager is required for a high-tech manufacturing company based in Coventry. My client has a state-of-the-art manufacturing centre and is developing a range of products for the energy generating and off-highway markets. Due to significant growth with key engineering partnerships, my client is recruiting a Quality Manager. You will be a critical team member in developing quality and technical solutions for clients’ challenging components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Department and KPI’s
2. Engineering Department and effective use of resources, supporting Production and NPI
3. New product introduction for customer projects
4. Project Management of business-critical internal projects relating to Quality and Engineering
5. Quality Systems development and improvement
6. Management of BSI and Customer audits
7. Business Operating systems
8. Teams adhering to Health and Safety systems
9. Recruitment of personnel within functions in conjunction with Board
10. Management of resources within the functions
11. Continuous improvement within the business and specifically functions
12. Customer specific Requirements
13. Health and Safety as part of site management
14. Input into business strategy and key actions/targets
Required Skills and Experience
1. Higher Education and/or relevant experience in a relevant field
2. Good knowledge of Engineering principles
3. Experience of IATF is advantageous
4. ISO14001 is advantageous
5. Good capability of managing a team of skilled personnel
6. Hands on approach
7. Experience of managing customer projects and communication
8. Knowledge of Quality activities such as capability studies/8Ds/SCARs
9. Reporting to Board
This is a permanent position with a basic salary between £60,000 to £65,000pa dependent on experience, and excellent opportunities for career progression within this growing organisation.
