Job Overview
We are looking for experienced paediatric nurses (or adult nurses with paediatric experience) to join our team in the Children’s Emergency Department at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. We are the Paediatric Major Trauma Centre (MTC) for the south west of England and provide care to over 45,000 sick and injured children from across the region each year.
Our commitment to providing world-class emergency care to children and families is continually growing. We put children and young people at the centre of everything we do and are looking for talented people to join our expanding team.
The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is nestled in the heart of Bristol, a city brimming with art and culture, restaurants, and nightlife. A place where you can live and grow, raise a family, and discover the true meaning of work-life balance.
We have full-time and part-time vacancies for enthusiastic and committed children’s nurses who have completed their preceptorship and welcome informal visits to come and meet the team.
Main Duties of the Job
As well as delivering clinical care, we understand the importance of supportive professional development. Our multidisciplinary leadership team is committed to guiding your development with us:
* Education: You will have the opportunity to undertake a bespoke package of learning adapted to your experience, including specialist education on major trauma, major incidents, minor illness and injuries, and mental health.
* Research: We are a national leader in children’s emergency research and have strong links with the department-based research team.
* Wellbeing: We are dedicated to the support and wellbeing of staff, with departmental wellbeing weeks, team ‘check-ins’, and access to a range of initiatives and activities.
(Please note that this vacancy is not suitable for internationally educated nurses requiring to complete OSCE to register with the NMC.)
