Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Contract and Shift details: This is a permanent role with hybrid working arrangements.

Role Overview:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will assist with providing accounting and administrative support to the business. This is a great opportunity to develop your finance skills in a collaborative and cooperative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage new supplier setups and amendments.
2. Process invoices, including coding costs and managing approvals.
3. Oversee and manage the accounts email inbox.
4. Respond to daily communications and resolve queries.
5. Create payment requisitions.
6. Prepare month-end accruals.
7. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and supplier statement reconciliations.
8. Manage and post month-end journals.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
2. Desire to improve processes.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Attention to detail and prioritisation skills.
Valuable Skills:
1. AAT qualification.
2. Knowledge of ledgers and double-entry bookkeeping.
3. Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint.
Additional Information:
1. Occasional requirements to work longer hours (e.g., at period end or during forecasts).
