Job Summary An incredible opportunity to join a growing team This position will be responsible for developing new products for the company's key growth areas. The position will be a key member of a team that is developing technology for a new product line. The Design and Test Engineer will be working under the guidance of a licensed PE. Essential Functions · Key part of a team that develops an FRP utility pole product line. · Actively participates in materials testing to facilitate scale up to production. · Contributes to product platform development through application of statistical experimental design, product testing, and data analysis. · Designs and performs structural testing. · Reports results and communicates recommendations. · Assist in writing manufacturing specifications and designing tooling. · Develops with guidance, products adhering to customer specifications, quality, and operational goals and standards. · Participates in customer interactions. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on structural design. Proficient in design using CAD. Strong understanding of structural analysis and design. Demonstrated strong technical writing skills. Experience in the fiber-composite materials industry and/or structural testing is preferred. At least 3 years of relevant experience. Additional Qualifications Must demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Must have excellent research, technical writing, and analytical skills. Must be able to drive engagement and work across multiple functions within the organization. Must be able to demonstrate situational adaptability and resilency in obtaining results. Must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to use Microsoft Office Products.
