Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
£38K to £43K per year (depending on experience)

Positions available on the Company’s Day shift: 6am to 3pm, Monday to Friday

Training:
In your first couple of weeks with the company, you will be provided with refresher training for Spill Kit, Confined Spaces, Abrasive Wheels, Ladders, Harness and IPAF3a/3b. There will also be opportunities for you to develop more skills in mechanical and electrical engineering with bespoke courses in welding, compliance, and health and safety as your career progresses with the company.
Recognition:
You will report to an Engineering Manager that operates an "open door policy" that has introduced on the spot rewards for ideas that make continuous improvements to the business and culture of the workforce. Engineers at this company are regularly receiving vouchers for ideas that improve Health & Safety practices, downtime & breakdowns, and team working.
Career Progression:
Since the Engineering Manager joined the company a couple of years ago, they have grown to a team of 10 Engineers across 4 manufacturing sites. They project growth to 20 Engineers over the next 12 months and anticipate career progression opportunities to Team Leader for Engineers joining the company.
What are your job duties?
PPM and reactive maintenance.
Responsible for fixing machinery breakdowns and minimising downtime.
Repairing, replacing, and refurbishing engineering parts.
Common components you will be working with include, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Bearings, Shafts, Motors, Sensors, Switches, and fault finding on Siemens PLC's.
Plant you will be maintaining and repairing includes Conveyors, CNC Machinery and Packaging machinery.
What qualifications, skills, and experience do you require?
Electrical systems and electronic fault-finding experience.
Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems experience.
PLC fault finding (Siemens) experience.
Ability to read engineering drawings, read schematic diagrams.
Formal training via an apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 Qualifications (or equivalent).
