Nottingham\n\n£30,000 - £35,000 \n\nOn-Site\n\n37.5 Hours Per Week (Monday - Friday)\n\nW Talent are delighted to be working with a large engineering business in Nottingham to find their Maintenance Purchasing & Inventory Controller.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in both stock control and purchasing to join a financially stable business at the forefront of engineering excellence and innovation.\n\nWith the potential to grow your own team in the future, you'll play a crucial role in managing stock and supplier management for the maintenance side of the company, ensuring smooth operations and avoiding delays.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOversee day-to-day stock management for the maintenance department\nConduct Perpetual Inventory (PI) counts and ensure accurate stock records\nWork closely with the MRO parts supplier to maintain availability of specialist parts and consumables\nPrevent overstocking while ensuring critical parts are always available\nHandle stock allocation and placement - some heavy lifting is required in this role\nRaise purchase orders (POs) for maintenance team requests\nFollow up on delayed supplier orders and source alternative suppliers when needed\nWork with key stakeholders, including Administration, Maintenance, and Facilities teams\nMaintain ERP systems and generate reports in Excel\nEnsure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices\n\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\nBackground in engineering or manufacturing is essential\nA strong mix of stock control and purchasing experience\nHighly organised with great attention to detail\nConfident working with suppliers and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly\nCompetent with ERP Systems and Excel\nAbility to be based at the Nottingham site full timeThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business in a role that offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact.
