Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. To have responsibility for securing the efficiency, effectiveness and quality standards across all areas of Therapy services.
2. To have budgetary responsibility for all Therapy services alongside Head of Therapies, managing pay and non-pay budgets, ensuring quality and value for money.
3. Support the Head of Therapies in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies/procedures and guidelines which impact across the Trust and other agencies e.g. Social Services and Voluntary organisations.
4. To plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate Therapy services.
5. To develop partnership working with organisations managerially and professionally e.g. Integrated Care Partners, ICB and Social Care. This involves working across organisational boundaries e.g. secondary to primary care and Social Services.
6. Advising other agencies and departments with regard to Therapy services.
7. Deputise for Head of Therapy when required at divisional level and other senior management meetings both internal and external to the organisation.
8. To be responsible and accountable for responding to and resolving complaints made regarding Therapy services.
9. Support the Head of Therapies to develop business planning for Therapy services.

* Master level degree or equivalent
* Management/leadership training
Experience

* Significant clinical experience in area of specialty
* Understanding of patient flow in acute services
* Experience in a head of service role
