About The Department…
We are looking to recruit a Booking Clerk to join our administrative teams within Radiology. Working within our busy environment you will carry out administrative duties as part of the MRI Radiology Team, assisting in the daily provision of a professional service ensuring patients receive the best possible service.
About The Role…
1. Receiving and processing patient referrals
2. Booking and changing appointments for patients either via a phone call, a text message, or an email
3. Answering and signposting general enquiries from patients calling our appointments line
What We’re Looking For…..
Applicants should have at least 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C or above including Maths and English or an NVQ2 in the relevant subjects (or equivalent) e.g. customer care or administration. Knowledge and experience of NHS targets is essential as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work as an individual and as part of a team having the ability to be flexible, being able to prioritise and organise work in order to meet tight deadlines whilst being able to adapt to the changing needs of the service. It is essential to be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, together with accuracy and attention to detail whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. Good data entry/keyboard skills are desirable together with a basic understanding of medical terminology. ECDL or CLAIT (or equivalent qualification) is also desirable.
