Job Description
Nu Instruments was founded in 1995 and is a market leader in high-end mass spectrometers, with sales across many countries. Its headquarters, manufacturing, and labs are located in North Wales, UK. Nu was acquired by AMETEK in 2016 and is part of the SPECTRO & Nu business unit.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
1. Act as a business partner to Nu’s DVP Business Manager to manage a global business.
2. Lead the annual budget process and monthly forecasts for P&L and balance sheet, including working capital management.
3. Manage monthly consolidation for the Nu business and related reporting, including UK statutory requirements.
4. Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and all corporate policies.
5. Collaborate with the UK corporate office on tax-related topics.
6. Support and lead internal and external audits.
7. Improve month-end processes, FP&A, and compliance procedures.
8. Drive the organization towards achieving short- and long-term business objectives.
9. Assist with ad hoc requests from the division or corporate levels.
10. Report directly to the DVP BU Controller.
Position Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or ACCA qualification is a plus.
2. Deep knowledge of US GAAP and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
3. Minimum of 10 years in controlling and accounting, including experience as a UK Qualified Accountant with Management Accounts expertise.
4. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
5. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; prior HFM experience is a plus.
