The role of Technical Installation and Support Specialist involves providing expert technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
You will work closely with the lead support engineer, assisting in investigating technical issues, reviewing data quality to ensure a smooth operational workflow and quality of installation/maintenance/remediation and data.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of digital hardware & software solutions and what it takes to install, operate & maintain them.
* Conduct technical Scada and Analytic checks where applicable.
* Support research and analysis into suitable alternatives to improve site data availability and provide recommendations.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions to ensure project success, working collaboratively with the team both in the office and in the field.
* Deliver training and workshops and audits to enhance the technical skills of crews and ensure correct procedures are followed safely and to a high specification.
* Escalate unresolvable field issues to your line manager.
* Contribute to process continuous design and improvement by proposing and creating documentation, tools, scripts etc needed to enhance the execution of activities mentioned.
* Assist in creating and maintaining knowledge base articles and user guides.
Key Skills:
* A general education including A Level pass or equivalent.
* A technical qualification in a technical or engineering field, electronic/mechanical Engineering/computer science or related course is preferable.
* Knowledge of electronic, remote-control systems (i.e. SCADA, etc.).
* Business knowledge of telemetry, real-time monitoring, or utilities is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to travel and work on-site as required for training, auditing, and support; a UK driving licence is essential.
* Fluency in English (verbal and written); multiple language knowledge is an asset.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
