Job Purpose
The Mechanical Engineering Support Manager will be responsible for the management of Customer Operational based Mechanical work. The role is to manage and schedule efficiently the mechanical team. They will also be responsible for the welding/fabrication team based at TS Knowsley. This role will report into the EC&I Manager and will provide a single point of contact/responsibility for Mechanical, Electrical & Controls. This role will provide support to depots with the Network Faults and ensure maximum uptime in customer projects.
The role will provide technical support on the mechanical side of the business to ensure compliance against agreed KPI’s and assist in the management of contractors.
Accountabilities
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
1. Organising and effectively scheduling mechanical labour for Installations.
2. Organising annual/periodic inspections on Flogas depots.
3. Organising Remedial works at Flogas depots.
4. Effectively scheduling breakdown cover at Flogas depots with the focus on minimising downtime on affected sites.
5. Ensuring the welders/fabricators work is focused on prioritised requirements.
6. Providing suitable and sufficient RAMS for standardised Jobs.
7. Equipment ordering from defined lists (Flospecs).
8. Ordering nonstandard equipment (working with Mechanical).
9. Liaising with and issuing work to external contractors efficiently.
10. Provide technical assistance to Flogas Depots (Mechanically).
11. Auditing external contractors and developing relationships with them regionally to provide a countrywide service to the operational side of the business.
12. Liaising with project teams on internal customer jobs, to help ensure smooth running of these projects.
13. Uploading compliance data on the asset management system.
14. Assist in the development of the new asset management team.
15. Working closely with the Technical Engineering Co-ordinator for Network & Customer Faults.

Job Holder Requirements
1. Fully Qualified LPG Engineer.
2. Experience with Large Vessel Testing.
3. High Pressure pipework testing.
