National Account Manager

Base pay range
£50,000 to £55,000 basic DOE - £64,000 to £69,000 OTE, paid annually, Company Car, Pension, 25 days Holiday plus Bank Holidays, Private Health Care.
The Company
Our client is a global manufacturer of professional coffee machines and vending equipment, supplying innovative solutions to clients across the UK and internationally. As part of their ongoing UK growth strategy, they are seeking a National Account Manager to help drive new business and grow existing customer relationships within the coffee sector.
The Role
This is a high-impact, field-based role focused primarily on new business development, with a secondary focus on managing and growing a selection of existing accounts. Around 70% of customer activity is in the North West and Yorkshire, with broader coverage between Birmingham and Glasgow.
You will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, onboarding new clients, presenting value-driven solutions, and managing the full sales cycle—from initial contact to final negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and target new business opportunities across the defined territory.
* Manage a small portfolio of existing accounts and increase share of wallet.
* Develop a clear and measurable Quarterly Sales Plan in line with company objectives.
* Present new product launches and communicate the company’s value proposition.
* Provide accurate quotations, proposals, and supporting materials to clients.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, and Technical.
* Record all visits, leads, and opportunities in Salesforce CRM.
* Deliver regular and accurate pipeline forecasts and market intelligence.
* Attend networking events and exhibitions to build new relationships and enhance visibility.
* Monitor competitor activity and share insight with relevant departments.
* Support loan/trial machines and credit queries in accordance with company policies.
The Person
You will be a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys winning new business and thrives in a field-based role. You're comfortable dealing with a variety of stakeholders and have experience working in the vending, coffee, or related equipment sectors.
You’ll need:
* Knowledge of the coffee, vending, OCS, or HoReCa equipment industry is a must for this role.
* Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in a field-based or national role.
* Strong new business development skills and confidence managing the full sales process.
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Commercial awareness and experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
* Willingness to travel across the UK with overnight stays when required.
