Purpose
To work as a Grade 1 Operator within a team of Process Operators in a Chemical Manufacturing Plant to safely achieve regulatory and customer quality requirements relating to ISO9001, ISO14001 and cGMP, within time and to customers specifications.
To effectively carry out the roles and responsibilities of a Grade 1 Process Operator. This includes Routine Operations, Complete Mandatory Training, Operating Process Equipment and Machinery to be an active part of the production team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Production ManagementM
Monitor Permit activities as defined by the SSoW
Understanding of BMS Risk Assessments & Method Statements
Process data entry to BMS (OEE, handover logs, yield etc). Data entry on to batch cards and QA015 packages
Organising and prioritising workload
Assist in the training and mentoring of Apprentice, TPO, Grade 3 and Grade 2 Operators.
Carryout duties in other production areas as required.
Participate as required in Design / Hazard reviews
Following batch cards ensuring that each sequential step is completed, all data is accurately documented and periodically review completed data entries.
Correctly identify, monitor, and charging of raw materials.
Adhering to all Policies, Procedures and Legal Legislations
Undertake any other duties of which the responsibility, skill and experience required fall within the Grade 1 Process Operator competence and capability
SHEQ Management
Ensure that all Environment, Health & Safety requirements are met including (but not limited to) Workplace Organisation Site Procedures and Policies, Work Instructions, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), High Housekeeping Standards, Risk/COSHH Assessments and Operating within the Process, HSE, and Legal requirements.
Compliant to all SHEQ Policies and Schedules (Housekeeping, Safety Audits etc.)
Equipment Management
Carryout operator tasks and duties as and when required including safe operation of all process plant equipment.
Team Building & Incentive
Undertake any other duties of which the responsibility, skill and experience required fall within the Trainee Process Operator competence and capability

Communicate and coordinated with production related departments
Previous experience handling hazardous chemicals is essential
