About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our Legal Counsel with a large and varied caseload. In this role, you will assist in handling confidential client and commercial information, ensuring all tasks are completed ethically and professionally. You will also be responsible for conducting legal research, reviewing and drafting legal documents, and providing general administrative support across the legal team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Case Support:
o Provide support to Legal Counsel with a wide range of legal matters, under supervision.
o Assist with the handling of confidential client and commercial information, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with legal regulations.
2. Legal Research and Document Drafting:
o Conduct legal research and provide summaries to support casework.
o Review and draft simple legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal governance processes.
3. Document Management:
o Manage document storage, filing, and online filing systems.
o Ensure all legal documents are processed for signature and filed according to company procedures.
4. Stakeholder Liaison and Administration:
o Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
o Perform general administrative duties related to the legal team’s daily operations.
5. Training and Development:
o Attend training and development sessions to stay updated on the latest legislation, legal practices, and industry trends.
o Continuously develop your legal knowledge to enhance your performance and support the legal function.
About You
* Legal qualification, Law Degree and sound understanding of legal principles
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience within a Healthcare/Homecare setting is preferable however wider experience will be considered
* Previous commercial contracts experience or in-house experience is desirable
* Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to work independently with good time management skills
* Strong organisation, problem solving and IT Skills
