Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cancer Services Team for a full time Chemotherapy Support Scheduler. We are looking for someone ideally with previous NHS experience, who has the ability to work with a number of NHS systems to support the booking and scheduling of patients on chemotherapy treatment. You will need to work well under pressure and understanding of medical terminology and/or cancer pathways would be beneficial. If you have the above skills and experience and are able to work in a busy team with a good sense of humour, along with excellent communication and can uphold our Trust values, why not apply Main duties of the job The Support Scheduler will be responsible for the management of Oncology Outpatient Waiting Lists working with the Scheduler to ensure all treatment is booked within the Cancer Waiting Times Standards. The Support Scheduler will be responsible for complying with Trust Waiting List Policy and National Waiting List targets, by ensuring patients are given appointments on the appropriate clinic as soon as possible according to their clinical priority and to ensure the clinics are filled in accordance with clinic rules and advanced booking processes. The Support Scheduler will be part of our busy team helping to maintain our waiting list targets and deal with the day to day queries from patients, General Practitioners, Consultants, wards and departments.
