Simply Education is seeking a dynamic and resilient Teaching Assistant to join and work collaboratively in SEN schools. The successful candidate will support vulnerable students with a range of different needs, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic success. This role requires adaptability, empathy, and a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.

Key responsibilities:
Building Positive Relationships: Establishing trusting and positive relationships with students is essential. Teaching assistants should create a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel safe to express themselves and seek help when needed.
Assisting with Classroom Activities: Teaching assistants support the delivery of lessons by assisting students during class activities, providing one-on-one instruction, and adapting teaching materials to meet individual needs.
Implementing Behaviour Management Strategies: Teaching assistants often assist in implementing behaviour management strategies outlined in students' behaviour support plans. This may involve using techniques such as positive reinforcement, de-escalation strategies, and conflict resolution skills.
Providing Emotional Support: Students with SEN needs may require additional emotional support. Teaching assistants should be empathetic listeners and provide encouragement and reassurance to help students cope with challenges and build resilience.
Supporting Inclusion: Teaching assistants help promote inclusion by facilitating the participation of students with needs in various classroom and school activities. They may collaborate with teachers to modify activities and assignments to ensure accessibility for all students.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children.
Ability to build good rapport with staff and students.
Flexible and adaptable.
Ability to be confident, resilient and empathetic.
