Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.02 an hour; this increases to £13.15 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
1. Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
2. Passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
3. Working across the store in our service, picking, and replenishment areas where required.
4. Putting into practice the training received to work safely and effectively.
5. Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering routines in store that meet customer needs.
6. Taking part in seasonal, community, and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
7. Being knowledgeable about the store’s performance and understanding the part played to drive service and sales.
8. Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
9. Being myself, living our values, making everyone feel welcome and always following our policies.
10. Accepting deliveries into the store as required.
You will need:
1. A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
2. The ability to build rapport with customers, ensuring they leave the store having experienced a great shopping trip.
3. To take the initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
4. Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
5. Build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
6. Be at work on time, well presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.
