This is a permanent, part-time post of 30 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Service. The post holder should have a desire to work within this specialist field and have a minimum of 2 years post registration experience.
The post holder will work as a key member of the existing Occupational Health Nursing and multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive occupational health service for all NHS GG&C employees and external organisations at a time of growth and development. The role will involve provision of a diverse range of occupational health services including pre-employment health screening, immunisation clinics, venepuncture, health surveillance programmes and management of blood borne virus exposures. You will provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of health and work and will be instrumental in promoting a positive culture of general and mental health and wellbeing whilst identifying opportunities for health promotion.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a positive and enthusiastic approach. You should have excellent communication, assessment and organisational skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a larger multidisciplinary team. Demonstrating adaptability to the diverse and variable demands upon our service. Previous experience of venepuncture and immunisations is desirable however training will be provided. NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
