Location: Ripon (Driving is a must – no public transport goes to site)
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexible)
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 + 5-10% Bonus (based on experience)

About this Quality Assurance Assistant role:
The Quality Assurance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the quality function within the site, ensuring adherence to customer, legislative, and relevant standards requirements. The role demands working closely with Operations and Technical teams to maintain the highest levels of feed safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities of this Quality Assurance Assistant role:
- Own and maintain process verification and analysis schedules.
- Support QC in Out of Specification results with timely follow-up, corrective, and preventative measures.
- Assist in supplier approval processes and support Technical and Procurement Teams in raw material performance data collection.
- Aid in equipment calibration and work with the Operations team to promote a quality-focused culture.
- Manage non-conforming products, factory standards auditing, and maintain internal audit schedules.
- Investigate and report internal quality failures, supporting Operations teams to address non-conformances.
- Ensure the site meets Target Zero KPI requirements and AB Agri Quality Standards.
- Handle complaint investigations, root cause analysis, and preventative actions, along with complaint trending.
- Train and develop colleagues in feed safety requirements.
- Lead Quality meetings and actively participate in external audits.
Requirement of this Quality Assurance Assistant role:
- Previous experience in Quality, ideally in a food or feed environment
- HACCP experience
- Basic Regulatory knowledge
- Knowledge of Quality Standards
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong Analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise differing demands
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with VMD, UFAS, BRC, GMC Plus
