Job summary We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Corporate Governance Team in order to support the Trust in delivering our ambitious strategy. This individual provides an important role in the provision of company secretarial support to ensure that the Trust meets its statutory duties and maintains the highest standards of corporate governance. The role requires excellent organisational skills in order to provide robust administrative support including drafting agendas, maintaining action logs, collating papers, producing accurate minutes and assurance reports all within challenging timescales. The role also includes leadership responsibilities within the team, and will contribute to and lead on some key governance projects. It is essential that you are able to work in a flexible and varied work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilitating meetings within a complex governance and assurance structure, and familiarity with site-based governance models. Further experience in facilitating board level committees, or similar corporate meetings with exemplary communication skills and an ability to work closely with Executive Directors and Non-Executive members of the Board, other senior managers and stakeholders is required. Whilst the role is a key part of a larger team you will be expected to work autonomously at times and be proactive in keeping up to date with statutory and regulatory requirements. Main duties of the job The postholder will work as part of the Corporate Governance Team, led by the Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer & Company Secretary (CCAO) to establish, develop and maintain arrangements and procedures for the sound corporate governance of each Trust within the Group. The post holder is responsible to the Group Associate Director of Corporate Governance & Company Secretary (ADCG) as Head of the Group Corporate Governance Team. The purpose of the Group Corporate Governance Team is to advise and support the Chair, Board of Directors and Council of Governors on all aspects of regulation, corporate governance and effective business conduct for the organisation. Predominantly this will include ensuring that the meetings identified within the governance of the Liverpool Adult Acute and Specialist Providers (LAASP) Programme have robust administration in place.
