Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of an Credit Controller to join a settled business and group in Bradford. The company are going from strength to strength in the distribution world, the team are looking to add a stand alone Credit controller to help with the 300-400 clients they currently have.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, key duties of the Credit controller will include:
1. dealing with numerous small business accounts/self employed traders as a team
2. cash collecting - receiving and allocating payments
3. aged debt chasing
4. review of accounts (aged debt) and credit limits
5. credit worthiness checking
6. bank reconciliations
7. previous experience in a busy credit control department
8. releasing orders once acceptable credit limit attained (on accounts that are overdue or close to limits) - comfortable making these decisions
9. working in a small credit control team - shared (not designated) accounts
10. strong communication skills - spoken and written
11. proven experience at building relationships with customers
12. ensuring local policies are followed by sites and trade counters in relation to credit control

In return, the successful candidate will receive the following:
£27,000 - £28,000 base salary
25 days holidays
