We are seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Senior for a dynamic general practice role that encompasses accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT. As an Accounts Senior, you will play a pivotal role within the firm, handling a broad range of responsibilities and enjoying significant autonomy. This position is ideal for individuals who are qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience. Key Responsibilities:
* Statutory Accounts Preparation: Compiling and preparing statutory accounts for a diverse client base.
* Management Accounts: Assisting in the production of management accounts.
* Taxation: Managing personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT returns.
* Bookkeeping: Performing general bookkeeping duties using software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
* Mentoring: Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees.
Requirements
* Qualifications: Studying towards or holding ACCA/ACA qualification, or qualified by experience.
* Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a UK accountancy practice, with substantial experience in preparing accounts, tax returns, and managing responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Software Proficiency: Skilled in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff.
Salary: £40,000 - £46,000, dependent on experience and qualifications, negotiable.
