We have worked with over 350 businesses across London and the south-east: formulating strategic plans for growth, increasing client sales through digital marketing campaigns, improving online presence by designing and building websites, developing and implementing recruitment and HR strategies, supporting cloud-based implementations for financial management, and reviewing contract terms and conditions – in summary, we partner with businesses to help them grow.
Our marketing team helps our clients to build, manage and market their business and brands for profitable growth. We develop marketing strategy aligned to their business goals and turn brand and communications strategy into actionable marketing plans. We work with our clients on a retained basis or an ad hoc to support specific projects. The team are also responsible for promoting Business Clan to our potential clients. We are now seeking to expand our marketing and web team with the recruitment of a high calibre marketing assistant.
Marketing Assistant Role
The role is for a solid team player who will know how to work resourcefully and efficiently with the marketing and web team. The role will be varied and will see you supporting the rest of the marketing team in the provision of an array of marketing services to a diverse range of small to medium sized clients, as well as providing internal marketing support to Business Clan. Our client base spans a range of sectors and industries, B2B and B2C, so you will gain valuable experience of marketing different products and services whilst working alongside our highly experienced team. You will be required to:
Responsibilities
* Write, copyedit and proof read creative content, including web pages, blogs, and email campaigns
* Collate and repurpose a variety of content (e.g. blogs, images and video) for multiple platforms
* Assist with running and managing email campaigns: building, checking and testing emails
* Coordinate and assist with meetings/workshops/seminars including preparation, set up and debriefs
* Develop and use templates for reporting
* Update and use our customer relationship management (CRM) and project management systems
* Assist in creating pitch proposals for new clients
* Coordinate the production of marketing materials e.g. with printers and suppliers
* Assist with reviewing website customer journeys to optimise customer experience, conversion and return on investment
* Assist in researching competitor insights to help inform strategy
* Support the team to monitor the holistic performance of marketing activities and contribute insights and present ideas during campaign review meetings
* Assist in the development and promotion of new product and service lines to expand offerings
* Provide support for web development projects
* Monitor and track social media trends, competitor activities, and industry news to inform content strategy and stay ahead of market shifts
* Assist in SEO optimisation to enhance online visibility and search rankings
* Provide administrative support for the marketing department, including managing calendars, organising files and handling communication tasks
* Assist in organising and coordinating internal company events and client/partner events
Person Specification
* You are a confident individual who is excited at the prospect of working on a variety of projects and looking to further expand your marketing knowledge within a highly experienced team.
* You will have a passion for all things digital, an interest in local businesses and community, and a desire to pursue a long-term marketing career.
* You will be a self-starter and love working in a team environment whilst being able to manage and be accountable for your own scope of work.
* You are open to learning and are curious asking questions and having a positive attitude to challenging tasks – and being resourceful in finding new ways to research and approach projects.
* You have excellent communications skills: written and spoken English with impeccable spelling, punctuation, grammar and tone.
* You have the ability to analyse data critically and provide actionable insights.
* You will have a degree related to marketing/business/English and at least one years' experience within a marketing role.
* You want to make an impact through effective marketing strategies!
Location
This position is full time and based at our West Wimbledon, SW20 office.
