Title: Banking Principal Associate Solicitor 8+PQE
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £80-100,000 DOE.

Our client is expanding its banking and finance practise, and they are seeking an accomplished solicitor to provide expert support and advice.
The Role:
As part of the Banking & Finance team, you will collaborate closely with corporate banking partners and play a pivotal role in advising a diverse clientele, including banks, lenders, fund managers, and institutional clients. Your responsibilities will encompass:
* Offering guidance on all aspects of finance and security issues across various sectors, such as asset-based lending, leveraged finance, corporate lending, real estate finance, and capital markets.
* Supporting the corporate team with funding issues related to mergers and acquisitions, and collaborating with commercial and real estate departments on portfolio property refinances and related matters.
* Drafting and preparing key documents necessary for transaction processes.
* Engaging in marketing efforts to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing ones.
Your client base will include prominent clearing banks, debt funds, international banks, and AIM-listed businesses, providing a rich variety of work. A key growth area for the team is engaging with international banks and debt funds operating from London.
The Person:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* At least 8 years of post-qualification experience gained in a reputable firm specialising in banking and finance.
* A strong technical background with a focus on the banking sector.
* Exceptional written English skills for effective drafting.
* Good time management and file management capabilities.
* Strong negotiation skills and a self-starting attitude.
* Attention to detail and the ability to foster strong working relationships with clients.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability to project manage and lead a team effectively.
