Are you passionate about Nigerian cuisine and love hitting the open road? Our vibrant Nigerian restaurant is seeking a dedicated and reliable Food Truck Driver to join our team! In this role, you'll be the face of our brand, delivering mouth-watering flavours and authentic dishes to our customers at various locations. As part of expansion and growth, the restaurant now has inter-continental and Nigerian Fusion mobile food vendor or “food truck”.
Responsibilities:
Prepping items for events.
• Handle day-to-day operations of food truck.
• Drive the food truck to off-site events following all safety guidelines and laws.
• Post shift organizing, cleaning inside and out, counting inventory, cleaning dishes.
• Run the line.
• Fulfill customer orders and handle cash and cards transactions.
• Ability to work under pressure during fast-paced events while maintaining the highest food/product quality.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvements as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or manager-on-duty.

• Assemble food products quickly, cleanly and to restaurant standards.
• Assemble and load all food and supplies for food truck functions for the scheduled location(s).
• Stock food trucks with condiments, serving utensils, and napkins; refill condiment containers, utensils, and napkins as needed.
• Utilise approved food production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner, and invite them back.
• Resolve customer concerns and represent company in a courteous and friendly manner in all customer interactions.
• Monitor and operate generator and propane tank to maximise efficiency.
• Replenish truck fuel as needed.
• Clean truck, inside and out, as well as kitchen work areas. Clean spilled food or drink or broken dishes/bottles and removes empty bottles and trash.
• Properly store foods in designated areas following proper dating and labelling procedures.
Other Requirements:
• NVQs/SVQs in Food Preparation and Cooking at Levels 2 or equivalent.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate as the minimum.
• A valid driver’s license.
• At least two (2) years in a food service environment – preferred.
• UK Residency or Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
