As Deputy Head of Security, you’ll be responsible for the overall safety of these unique factors, as well the daily operation of the Security Department. What it's like to work here The Security Department is a 24/7 manned operation, and consists of an exceptional team of Rangers, Technical Officers, and Security Officers, all of whom will report into you as Deputy Head of Security. You’ll report to the Head of Security and Transport and help them to always ensure the highest standards of response and communication from the team. The Department is customer-facing and so a supportive culture of teamwork is important. What you'll be doing You’ll use your technical knowledge to proactively make adjustments to the high specification CCTV and Centralised Security Systems, ensuring that best performance is drawn from them. Ultimately we’re aiming to improve monitoring capabilities and response times. You’ll need to coordinate the remote monitoring of external CCTV systems ensuring that alarms are actioned, protocols are followed, and that an excellent working relationship with other client properties are maintained. Over time, you’ll learn to understand the roles within the department and be able to undertake the duties of each with confidence. Alongside this, you’ll develop and maintain a detailed understanding of all the buildings under Waddesdon’s exciting portfolio. As their line manager, you’ll assist each member of the team to meet their training goals and ensure attention is given to staff engagement and retention. Responding to first aid incidents involving staff, visitors, and contractors as required is an important part of the role, ensuring that all paperwork is submitted to the Health and Safety Manager. You’ll also be in charge of ensuring all compliance testing, like Emergency Lighting Tests, and Fire Safety, are carried out across the site and recorded in relevant log books.
