About You
This is an expression of interest — we are open to speaking to Mechanical Engineers at all career stages who want to join us in our offices in Warrington, Manchester, Leeds, or Newcastle.
You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and optioneering to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations.
You will liaise with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for projects and communities.
More senior engineers will manage and guide junior team members and support their development.
Key Requirements:
* Experienced Mechanical Engineer, ideally Chartered, with experience in mechanical design within the water industry.
* Proficient in producing and reviewing technical outputs such as specifications, sizing and designing pumping and aeration systems, schedules, reports, and familiar with collaborative planning reviews and design solutions.
* Ability to provide engineering input to design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines, including General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
* Strong communication skills, capable of delivering technical presentations to clients and engineers, and participating in design discussions, safety reviews, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
* Provide technical leadership to the Mechanical design team and support junior engineers’ development.
* Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and experience assessing existing infrastructure to develop mechanical designs.
