THE ROLE
As an Apprentice Electrical Harness Technician, you will receive comprehensive training on a range of our projects and products for some of the most prestigious competition cars in the motorsport industry.
You will be responsible for the preparation and assembly of high-performance wiring harnesses and electrical components, ensuring that all our products meet the highest industry standards. Driven and with levels of attention to detail, you will have the flexible approach to work and take pride in getting the job done right – applying a high standard of workmanship as our competition cars tackle some of the world’s most challenging terrain.
Responsibilities
1. Working with our team of Electrical Technicians in the manufacture and repair of wiring harnesses and sensors using high specification wire and connectors.
2. Building and testing wiring harnesses from technical drawings.
3. Understanding assembly drawings and operating in line with our quality control standards.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
You should have a minimum of 3 GCSEs, with grades 9-4 (or A*-C), including Maths, English, and a Science-based qualification.
You should pride yourself on your attention to detail, and be capable of delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
You should have the ability to communicate effectively with all team members.
You should share our determination to deliver a winning performance for the very best results.
WHAT DO I NEED TO CONSIDER
This is a 42-month (plus End Point Assessment) apprenticeship, where you will spend time with our local training provider Gen2, in addition to working on-site at our Dovenby Hall Headquarters. At Gen2, you will learn a range of hands-on and theoretical engineering skills. Training will be delivered on a one day per week basis at their training centre.
