Qualifications needed:
Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
Mastery in the management of a broad range of physical health conditions in babies, children, and young people, including neurodevelopmental disorders
At least 4 years post graduate training including 2 years community paediatrics (or demonstrate equivalent experience and competences).
Knowledge and training in Child safeguarding
Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training.

We are currently recruiting to a Community Paediatrics Specialist Grade Doctor position in the Integrated Child Health Service at Great Oaks Clinic, Great Oaks, Basildon, SS14 1EH.
This is an established post and is a substantive, full-time role. It is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to it as soon as possible.
You will join 6wte Consultant Paediatricians, Specialist Grade Doctors, and 1wte Specialty Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Job responsibilities
You will be expected to:
Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children and young people across South West Essex.
Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
Work directly with babies, children and young people, and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals
Participate in the local Child Protection rota
Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative
Work alongside 6wte Consultant Paediatricians, Specialist Grade Doctors, and 1wte Specialty Doctor within the service
Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
