You’ll provide commercial leadership to the in-house F&B and Retail teams and manage all externally operated onsite concessionaires offering services to our passengers. You’ll be accountable for the commercial performance of all non-aero revenue streams related to the commercial airport operation and the identification and development of new revenue opportunities as the business grows.
What you'll be doing
1. Provide commercial leadership to the F&B and Retail team to ensure maximum productivity of the workforce, cost management and revenue performance.
2. Manage all onsite commercial concessionaires from a revenue and operational performance perspective including Car Hire, Taxis, and Airport advertising.
3. Manage the Car Park operation and revenue performance, working to determine, develop and implement the best systems and processes to maximise revenue and provide best in class customer experience.
4. Ensure all net revenue per passenger targets are met and exceeded where possible.
5. Develop and lead the operating model for the future development of Retail and F&B across the site.
6. Ensure sustainability considerations are integrated into all commercial operations and developments.
7. Be accountable for the regulatory compliance of all airport commercial operations.
8. Develop commercial products and services for passengers that deliver maximum net revenue per passenger, promote regional products and suppliers and enhance the passenger experience.
9. Ensure effective and professional systems and processes are introduced and adhered to across all commercial operations.
10. Ensure that all commercial operations deliver a positive and consistent customer experience (in both regular and disrupt situations) that reflects the CAL brand.
11. Be an effective and proactive member of the Management Team.
12. Collaborate closely with Marketing to drive revenue performance across all areas and collaborate on e-commerce and other sales solutions as appropriate.
13. Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Analyst to understand the data and use it to drive revenue performance and identify and develop new business opportunities.
14. Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple businesses and demonstrate strong contract management skills to extract maximum value from suppliers.
15. Budget management and accountability.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are essential:
1. Proven success in profitable management of relevant commercial business.
2. Team management and leadership experience.
3. Basic understanding of retail and F&B practices and processes.
4. Strong financial and commercial acumen and experience of revenue and margin management.
5. NVQ or equivalent in relevant skill set to the role.
The following qualifications and experience are desirable:
1. Experience of delivering staff training.
2. Experience of working with bonded stores.
3. Personal Licence Holder.
4. Degree level qualification.
