The 10-week program begins in the first week of June 2025 and offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable business experience and on-the-job training. Internship location This internship opportunity is based in Edinburgh, where you will work as part of Franklin Templeton’s EMEA Marketing Team. Responsibilities of the EMEA Marketing Team As part of a global marketing team, the EMEA Marketing Team supports the growth of Franklin Templeton’s client base across advisory, discretionary, and institutional channels in Europe and the Middle East. Team members are based in various markets, including the UK (London & Edinburgh), Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, and the Middle East. The team is highly collaborative, with daily interactions through Microsoft Teams. Your role in Edinburgh You will divide your time between our Content Marketing and UK Marketing teams within the EMEA Marketing division. Your key responsibilities will include: Content development: Supporting the creation of messaging and creative content that positions Franklin Templeton’s capabilities and products in EMEA markets. This will involve writing original content, briefing colleagues, and reviewing the work of others. Digital marketing: Managing the promotion and content on the UK website and social media platforms. Competitor research: Conducting thorough research and help implement key findings to evaluate and enhance Franklin Templeton’s content and offerings. Collaboration with Specialist Investment Managers (SIMs): Liaising with selected SIMs to build knowledge of capabilities and help position products effectively in key markets. What you can expect to learn Market insights: Gain a deep understanding of global asset management markets, the competitive landscape, and distribution models, particularly in the UK. Marketing disciplines: Exposure to a wide range of marketing areas, including sales, product management, brand management, creative services, content marketing, channel marketing, advertising, digital, and social media. Communication skills: Develop the ability to effectively communicate the impact of marketing to the broader organization. Qualifications, skills and experience Some marketing experience through your degree course. Interested in marketing, including digital and social media. Good communication and organisation skills, a team player. Strong writing skills would be a distinct advantage. Interest in the global financial services industry. Ambition to connect with industry leaders and intern peers. Ability to multi-task while meeting multiple deadlines. Eagerness to learn and a desire to be a team player.
